A small, cozy Japanese restaurant🇯🇵 Tasty noodles🥣
Friendly staff 👩🍳🤵♂️nice service.
Free cold tea, but very bitter and strong.
Affordable prices💰
If you want to eat your fill, you definitely have to order a few main dishes for yourself here.
From a tourist perspective, one would think that Cairns is unlikely place to eat good ramen - not true at all! You can visit Ganbaranba and get a fantastic one (or more - if you're gonna visit few times like we did during our stay in Cairns :) ) It's very aromatic and tastefull - the broth, noodles and toppings are in perfect ratio giving you fantastic taste profile regardless of which one you'll pick.
Right from the get go you're likely to be captured by enchanting Kyoko-san inviting you to get inside and take a seat :) The whole team is lively and smiling, making really good atmosphere inside - it's a pleasure to stay!
There's a free cold tea, that's delicious and refreshing during the hot days (it's on the bitter side, it'd call it "Dry" in wine terms - but it's great nevertheless). The tea is so good that it makes additional soft drink options only a backup ^_^ ( in case you can't drink tea I guess?)
Also, if you visit during lunch time, remember to take gyoza as part of the awesome deal that is lunch menu. It's just as delicious and great side dish to the ramen, that'll make sure you'll be full for quite some time. There are also other sides that are worth checking out!
If (when!) we're going to come again to Cairns we'll definetly visit again!
Love from Poland to Kyoko-san and the Team, it was pleasure to visit <3
Hope you're all ok and safe, I've heard about the cyclone Jasper :(
Feel of the experience was completely authentic but was left very disappointed with the ramen. Broth was super flavourful, rich and deep umami flavours, noodle was soft and bouncy but meat was dry. Little pieces but maybe because I came 1 hour before close. Good meat to noodle ratio, and love the green tea refreshments that are complimentary. Egg was depressingly over cooked, missing that half gooey yolk and soy-marinated bite to it.
Would go back to try their gyozas and hope that their meat was more flavoured and juicy.
Service is extremely fast and staff are super friendly in this tourist town.
The ramen we ordered had a lovely burnt garlic flavour and the broth was on the light side. The egg was a bit over cooked and the pork was a bit tough. The noodles had an amazing texture, great mouth feel. The gyoza was yum and a nice side dish. Overall it was tasty and comforting.
I had the vegetarian pho & although the broth was tasty, the noodles were not that good. We were there fairly early to eat & still had to wait for a table with a number. This place gets busy.
We had a couple of Ramen bowls this evening, and some fried dumplings 🥟
Also added some chilli and garlic to enhance the taste - this was a good choice. Good value for money and tasty food.
We ate here for dinner after a long day at the GBR. It was very delicious and quick! We got edamame, pan fried dumplings (so yummy), and I got the extra garlic ramen (#2 on menu). I loved my ramen! So many noodles and the broth was flavorful and garlicky
#ganbaranba #ramen.
im so sorry, this is the worse ramen i had tried in the world.
stored are 100% japanese, if they selling this in japan. they must closed within a month.
i dont know why the flavour of tonkotsu ramen no.6 taste nothing pork taste. only salty with white color.
the one no.16 soy sauce is horrible. too salty and without any meat flavour.
the only explain is they change the taste to suit australian... maybe.
九洲豚骨拉面 shinshin and 一双 worth 1000% more than this...im so sorry.
❌❌❌❌both soup with too much lemon sour taste. and too salty.
❌❌❌❌ ramen noodle is purely white flour taste not even with egg yellow color.
❌❌❌❌egg is 100% boiled...... why... overcooked it.
i dont know why google give it 4.5/5...unbelievable
